Rotation Student Spotlight: Welcome Carter!
Carter is a first-year PhD student in the Genetics department. He received his BS in Life Science from Akita University, Japan, in 2024. As for his undergraduate research, he sought to elucidate the mechanism of chondrocyte dedifferentiation, a senescence phenotype of cartilage. He is interested in research related to aging and age-related diseases, and he wants to pursue a career in academia to study aging after earning his PhD degree. Outside of the lab, he enjoys cooking, playing games, rock climbing, and watching movies. He also loves bringing his camera and taking pictures when he is traveling. Welcome Carter!
